OK! I’ll get right to it, because you came here for the list – am I right? Go ahead, enjoy! The list runs the gamut of fiction to non-fiction to biographies to spirituality. I’d love to know your thoughts in the comments! – Thanks, Joe.

#10 – Better Dads, Stronger Sons by Rich Johnson

If you're a dad, this is a must read. You and I are uniquely suited to be the best dads possible to our sons, truly a God-given grace. This book can help you strive to be the dad God designed you to be - so your son can grow to be everything he is meant to be. Being a father isn't just about what kind of parent you are, but what kind of man you are. I'm sure you are familiar with some of the things discussed in the book, but true or not, still amazing reminders.

#9 – Atomic Habits by James Clear

Truly insightful book on habit formation and what our habits do to create the people we become. There were lots of great points in this book worth mentioning, but here was one that stuck for me: "The focus should always be on becoming a type of person, not achieving a particular outcome."

#8 – The Way of the Warrior by Erwin Raphael McManus

Amazing book, even better in audio form. Pastor McManus explores how being a warrior in the true meaning of the word can help us establish peace in ourselves, home, neighborhood, community, etc. Great quote: " One of the most dangerous places to stand is where you should never have been standing in the first place."

#7 – Am I Being Too Subtle? by Sam Zell

The blunt real estate mogul billionaire shares his entrepreneurial journey in wonderful story-telling fashion. What stood out to me most in this book is the deal-making. He consistently sees things differently than others and bucks the mainstream to make incredible deals happen through creativity and calculated risk mitigation. A truly brilliant deal maker and businessman.

#6 – Building a Story Brand by Donald Miller

Mind Opening book for sure. Helped me realize that to gain a customer and a raving fan you have to position you and your company as the guide, the wise sage that helps others fulfill the need they were seeking to find. If you can show that your company provides them value and is there for them to lean on, help their understanding and gain their trust, you’ll have a customer for life. Tell the story and be the guide.

#5 – Born a Crime by Trevor Noah

What is it – an amazing coming-of-age story of the Daily Show host’s childhood in South Africa. The story will have you rolling laughing, tearing up at points and outraged at others! Really an amazing read and engaging – couldn’t put it down! One of the most entertaining audiobooks I’ve ever heard – highly recommend the audio version!

#4 – The Honey Bee by Jake & Gino

A fantastic narrative in the same vein as the Richest Man in Babylon. It tells the story of Noah - a disappointed, disaffected salesman who feels like his life is going nowhere until the day he has a chance encounter with a man named Tom, the beekeeper. In his charming, down-home way, Tom the "Bee Man" teaches Noah and his wife Emma how to grow their personal wealth using the lessons he learned from his beekeeping passion. It's an easy read and great introduction to personal wealth-building concepts!

#3 – Replace Your Mortgage by Michael Lush

Who doesn't want to pay off their mortgage in 5-7 years? Well, the strategy discussed in this book is pretty mind-blowing. It truly is just math, not magic and a little-known product that when used correctly and with discipline can result in great equity growth and wealth creation quickly. Now that I am implementing the strategy, I wish I had done it years ago. It is not too good to be true. Check it out and if you want to learn more, I'd be happy to tell you all about it.

#2 – Searching for and Maintaining Peace by Fr. Jacques Phillippe

A Powerhouse of Peace. This little book is so meaty. I'll read a page at a time. There is so much wisdom in it to cultivating peace in our lives. In such a turbulent time as we are living this is a wonderful book to read to ground yourself. "The devil does his utmost to banish peace from one's heart because he knows that God abides in peace and it is in peace that he accomplishes great things!" One of my favorite quotes, but there are so many.

#1 – The Wealthy Gardener by John Soforic

Really freaking good. Best in Audiobook format. An engaging story with practical wisdom on entrepreneurship and wealth in the vein of Rich Dad, Poor Dad, written by a father to his son. It is written in narrative form and very easy to digest. Lots of great lessons to reflect on...
